Trustees and Trustee Investment

Trustees and Trustee Investment

Under the Trustee Act 2000, trustees have statutory duty of care in the administration of the trust. This applies to both Lay and Professional Trustees. We believe in an asset allocation approach to spread investment risk by investing capital across various asset classes. The mix of asset classes depends upon the personal circumstances and risk profiles of the beneficiaries. We provide considered advice regarding the investment vehicle used to provide the most tax efficient solutions.

Trustee Investment

The Independent Asset Management Company’s Trust Review Service is available to Professionals and non-Professional trustees (often called lay trustees) of new or existing trusts. It is designed to help trustees meet their obligations and responsibilities in accordance with the Trustee Act (2000).

The Service addresses key issues such as the taxation of trust assets, investment risk and asset allocation, fair treatment of beneficiaries, and how investment decisions are made.
